“Suffering In Silence” explores everyday effects children and youth face when unable to express mental health challenges. Our guest speaker discusses her personal journey and the ramifications of holding in emotions, as well as how to address and manage what you think and how you feel.

Stephanie Howard is a recent graduate from Capella University where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is a mother, entrepreneur, and mental health advocate. She currently hosts a personal podcast for parents and caregivers in her mission to bring awareness and change to individuals struggling with mental health. While sharing her journey she expands on teaching others how to talk about and overcome “Suffering In Silence.”

  • How we can help: 1) Listen without judgment - Sometimes, being heard is the first step toward healing; 2) Educate ourselves and others - Understanding mental health reduces stigma and empowers us to act with empathy; and 3) Advocate for access - Support policies and programs that provide mental health resources in schools, communities, and online. #MentalHealthAwareness #YouthSupport #mhrcet
