ADVANCING OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH TO LEARN, LEAD AND SUCCEED
As part of our ongoing commitment to empower the next generation, MHRCET is preparing to launch a series of new programs designed to support system-involved youth in underserved communities. These forthcoming initiatives will focus on fostering leadership, enhancing life and career skills, and promoting civic responsibility through inclusive, community-centered activities.
Each program is designed with an understanding of and responsiveness to the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and evolving needs of the communities we serve. We prioritize inclusivity, cultural relevance, and equity throughout the development process to ensure our initiatives are not only accessible but also impactful and empowering for every participant.
Overview:
Modern Digital Skills and Mental Health Education
Through a holistic approach we are integrating digital skill building, career development, mental health and substance use education, and community engagement into our vision. We aim to equip young people with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to succeed in today’s world.
Peer-Led Support and Community Engagement
This initiative is designed to cultivate peer leadership and strengthen community-based support networks among young adults who have been impacted by the foster care system or similar systemic challenges. Through structured training and guided dialogue, participants will develop essential skills in communication, facilitation, and emotional resilience. The program fosters a trauma-informed, inclusive environment where young adults can learn to support others and contribute meaningfully to collective well-being.
We encourage you to check back periodically for updates as we continue to broaden our initiatives and introduce new avenues for youth engagement. We also look forward to welcoming participants and partners as we collaborate to cultivate meaningful opportunities for personal growth and lasting impact.
