Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team of providers who work in a collaborative environment. Qualifying candidates with a team-based approach to mental health will enjoy this opportunity. The ideal candidate will meet all the standard requirements expected from a LCSW, including a passion to make a strong impact on a community and the lives of each client.

This is a 100% remote position. Our practice approach is through telehealth. We currently offer services to California residents, only. While you are not required to live in CA you must hold a California license.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • Master’s Degree as a LCSW
  • California state license
Experience
  • Knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, discharge planning and excellent documentation skills
  • Two (2) years experience providing treatment to children, youth, or adults with various mental health disabilities or experience in a health care environment (required)
  • Crisis/Risk Management
Responsibilities: (includes but not limited to)
  • Collaborates with the on-call psychiatrist
  • Conducting intakes, evaluations and/or assessments
  • Provides mental health crisis intervention
  • Recommends and provides treatment plans such as group or individual therapy on current caseload, when appropriate
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Knowledgeable of organization’s policies, practices, operating rules, and expectations of employees
  • Must adhere to high standards regarding ethics and confidentiality as provided by the State Board
  • Provides input and adheres to organizational methodologies
  • Refers clients or family members to community resources or to specialists, as necessary

  • Demonstrates knowledge, ability, and willingness to learn about various ethnic and culturally diverse backgrounds
  • When applicable, participates in the treatment programming and planning discussion of problem cases, follow up, monitoring, and general input
  • Demonstrates knowledge of reporting laws and all legal aspects of care applicable to specific populations
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • May assist in the interview process of potential staff
  • Organized with time management skills
  • Communicates effectively both orally and in writing
  • Works well independently or in a team setting
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Establish a rapport and understanding of each client/client situation
  • Relevant skills in exercising initiative, good judgment and sound decision-making

Position Type/Work Schedule

This is a full-time, non-exempt, 40 hour/week position, requiring occasional evening and weekend work and the ability to be flexible and responsive to emergent needs of MHRCET.

MHRCET strives to deliver services and support necessary to improve the quality of life for children, youth, and adults with mental illness.

Applicants must have voice and video capabilities in order to conduct and follow-up with interviews.
